American Community Bank

The main lobby of the main office of American Community Bank uses MuruStone on the walls behind the counter; as the logo incorporated into those walls, and as special logo plaques in the casework at each teller station.

Architectural Concept Stone

MuruStone was used as the featured wall in the entrance to this manufacturer of architectural stone. The sign was made from a combination of MuruStone and the company's cast stone as the frame. The panels were typical of dimensional stone at 20 inches by 34 inches.

Aycock Recreation Center

This project is a wainscot about 42" high in a recreation center. The job is complex with many terminations and column covers. The outside corners are built with Schluter trim in black. The walls are filled with young people and the traffic is heavy. MuruStone is tough enough to clad the walls and add the beauty of dimensional stone to a project that could not afford natural stone. The walls are typical drywall studs and gypsum wallboard. MuruStone is adhered to the wallboard with the same materials and techniques used with ceramic tile. The result is dimensional stone.

Elevator Application

The dull laminate panels in the elevator cabs was removed and the MuruStone precut panels were installed with Liquid Nails directly to the cab liner. Quick, inexpensive and rich. Low weight (2.3 psf) and thin, MuruStone can be used in any elevator cap renovations.

IBM Lobby

This IBM lobby is distinguished by a wainscot treatment of Turkish Purple marble. Curved sections and both inside and outside corners show the versatility of MuruStone.

Holiday Inn Conference Center at Dulles Airport

This MuruStone featured panel is the first thing visitors see as they enter the Holiday Inn Conference Center at Dulles Airport. The feature wall is a combination of Emerald Isle marble and a tiled mural. The panel in the middle is the conference center logo. This is a very economical example of one of many ways MuruStone can create beautiful architectural features.
