Projects - Modular Wall Systems
DDS has worked closely with Fry Reglet Corporation to provide printed panels for their "Graph" wall system. Graph is a modular wall system that incorporates 1/2" thick panels into a grid. This is how Fry Reglet describes their system
DDS has supplied imaged panels for some of the most intriguing projects done to date with the Graph wall system. Select the projects for a complete description of the application: • The Legends at the University of Washington• The Four Seasons at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point • Panduit retail stores in Frankfort, Germany and Paris, France Top
Project: Panduit Corporation Offices Panduit Offices in Paris, France and Frankfort, Germany: In 2007 we built very unusual feature walls for the offices of Panduit Corporation in two European cities. The Murerase panels were combined with the "Graph Wall System" by Fry Reglet. Panduit is a multinational corporation that manufactures infrastructure for technology. The make the cabinets that house computer networks and the chases, junctions and other necessary equipment to make large networks secure and functional. Panduit is headquartered in Tinley, IL and they had Gensler in Chicago design these new offices. Gensler is a multinational architectural and design firm with 31 offices throughout the US and overseas. They take on every size design project that can be imagined, and their design of the feature walls included Fry Reglet's "Graph" and very special Murerase panels. We have the design elevations for the two jobs. The walls have been installed, but we have not been able to obtain finished photos of the installation. The walls in Paris are 7'- 4"x 18' long and 7'- 4"x 9'long. The wall in Frankfort is 7'- 8"high x 17' long. The walls are "Graph" with Murerase panels 12" high by 36" long typically. The panels are unusual due to their construction. The panels are 7/16" thick MDF with a laminate of printed .023" thick steel. The image is of stylized circuitry that requires precise imaging and fabrication to match up the panels. DDS did these projects based on approved shop drawings and without one rejected panel. All of the Murerase panels fit and the tiled mural effect was seamless. ![]() This is the full size image that was used to tile the wall and determine the image on each of the 12”x 36” panels ![]() This drawing shows the two sections of the feature wall in the Frankfort, Germany facility. ![]() This is a closeup of a section of the tiled wall panels. The gap between the panels is a 1/8” reveal. The images that cross the seams between panels had to be carefully matched up. Top |
