Projects - Stone Wall Panels

DDS has imaged our MuruStone in granite and marble patterns since 1999. We have completed many projects such as wainscots, feature walls, and as a background for signage. We have a number of stone patterns available to us, and our imaging technology allows us to adjust color within those patterns. We can photograph or scan stone that is not in our library to provide our clients with the stone they desire. Some typical projects follow:

Aycock Recreation Complex - Henderson, NC

The Aycock Recreation Complex is a multi-purpose center for the community of Henderson, NC. It is full of young people after school and during the weekends. The lower areas of the walls were to be protected with a wainscot, but the budget did not provide for marble or granite. The architect, Surapon Sujjavanich, P.A., used 1/4" thick MuruStone with a maroon marble pattern. The top and bottom of the wainscot was trimmed with conventional base board and chair rail. The joints were caulked with black silicone, and the corners were trimmed with black tile trim. This job has performed very well since 2002, and is a striking application at a cost that satisfied the budget.

This column was covered with MuruStone and trimmed with Rondec trim by Schluter. These panels were field measured and cut in the shop for the contractor. MuruStone can be easily field cut if there is a table saw and a good, fine toothed blade on the saw.
